Kim and Mari,

Brought together by chance, doing what we both love, running a marathon.

On a chilly October morning halfway through a race is where our paths crossed. We exchanged jokes and few laughs and a kind-ship developed.

My friends and her friends soon became our friends and a supportive community around the activity we all love was born. Through hours of group training, racing and sharing life experiences over the years our kind-ship developed into a supportive friendship.

Life can hand you lemons (as we all know) but when you have a friend that hands you vodka you make an amazing drink and enjoy this journey called life.

Somewhere along the way of supporting and celebrating one another our friendship sparked into a LOVE. We believe the love that has grown between us will be the fuel to carry us through the rest of our life. Our shared love of God, family and travel further strengthens our bond.

We both enjoy visiting one another's church home but most importantly we both understand that there is no bad place to worship God in prayer.

Traveling together has been our biggest joy.  From the Opera in Paris, France to a hand in hand walk along the black sand beach in Santorini, Greece we love it all.  We enjoyed a trip to race an Ironman together in Cozumel, Mexico followed by Mari's first ski trip down the slopes of Breckenridge, Colorado. It's so refreshing to have a partner that you are just as connected to when you travel as you are at home watching TV together.

We are looking forward to sharing the rest of our story and journey with all of you whom we love. Finally, as our special friends and family, we asked that you lift our Union up in prayer.
